Typhoon Haiyan

The Philippines are walking up in distress from the major typhoon that hit.  Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines killing over 1000 people.  The storm touched down around 4:30 a.m. Friday morning.  The storm was moving at speeds up to 200 mph and was flattening towns.  Dead bodies lay in the streets while family and friends wait for support.

This same storm is expected to move into Vietnam on Sunday going into Monday with strong winds.  We also have information on the storm itself, Haiyan is about 300 miles wide, that is the distance from Boston to Philadelphia (courtesy of ABC News)
